True, but keep in mind they have to keep up the servers, which will cost more if they allow more storage and more characters. This game wont ever be P2P, but I think if everyone buys the expansion, that the storage needs to be at least doubled.

EDIT: Any really who cares about gold I'm not complaining about money storage I just think more storage should be added for items. And who are you to say that Anet can't take the extra overhead from added storage space do you have their server specs? (obviously rhetorical)

In EQ2 you actually only get max of 64 slots, and 32 that are sharable with other chars, and that is providing you actually craft strong boxes to place in back other wise you have 8 and 4.
You actual characters have 6 slots (i think) and each can be upgraded with a bag to a max of 8 slots.
GW is generous, it just means you have to manage your inventory, god forbid.

There's been times where an extra 'line' or two of storage would have been nice, but it doesn't bother me much. Now and then I look things over and realize I don't need most of the stuff I've been hoarding because it's no use to my character anymore at all. If there are minor runes or whatnot that no one wants and i'm not using, I'll just sell them to the trader.
I think the inventory itself is fine. I imagine if future expansions really up the # items or something they may (emphasis on may...i'm no mind-reader) increase the storage a bit then. Would be the logical time to do so anyway. D2 did that once.
I don't really like the hoarding items concept myself, but I understand the pack-rat mentality. Problem is, if you're a serious packrat (or even just a mild one) no amount of space is going to seem like enough. If they give a couple more 'lines', people will get used to that, fill it up, and then want more. And then more. And then more. Where do you stop?
The D2 thing, with people having dozens and dozens of mules on multiple accounts, some still holding items from the very first version of D2 - yea...that was nuts. lol
PS - I don't really understand hoarding the lower-costing dyes if you're at a stage of the game where you have 40+ platinum, either. Black dye I can see...that's farking expensive at a trader. But...*shrug...each their own and all that.

the only problem i have is that i use most of my storage space for crafting items because i'm not sure what i'll need to have in the future in order to have something made but i usually dump all my stuff off on the merchants and the nice stuff i give to guild members if i don't want to use it

Ok i would like to see some kind or incresed storage ... Why ??
I like my character to be versitile.. my warrior Example..
I have 45 slots for items.
15 slots - (9) crafter materials and salvage/ident kits(2 of each 6 slots)
10 slots - weapons - 2 swords - 2 axes - 2 hammers - 2 other(depends on what you like) - 2 shields
14 slots - 1 armour type (heh i would like more) 9 helms, 3 each corrisponding to the weapon type being used (minor, major and superior rune), 3 arm (str minor, major, superior), 3 feet (tactics minor, major, superior).
ok that leaves me with about 10(depending on what im using) slots for hunting items and salvaging..
My vault mainly consists of the super rare craft items i may need later at some point, and generally i just use it for transfer of items between characters.
Im not asking for much, but an increse in the bag space from 10's to 15's or 20's would be ideal, even thou i would like 2 different sets of the above armour.

I just want enough storage space in the vault to be able to store all crafting materials. As it it right now I can't do that.

How about a universal skill that will allow 10 more slots? You'd only be left with 7 slots for combat skills.

I think that each character should have their own amount of storage that would be the same as it is now, but there should also be 4 extra storage slots that could be used by all characters. That would solve the problem of there not being enough storage space accessable to all accounts, but would also prevent most people from being too bad of pack-rats.

.. even with this limited storage space, I don't "trade and help the economy." As things stand, trading is too annoying for impatient me. I want my space. My wanting my space hurts no one. My wanting my space is neither cost nor (hard-drive) space prohibitive, considering the request in comparison to WHAT ALL EXISTS IN THE FIRST PLACE.
I doubt ArenaNet would incur much cost for storage space if Guild Wars already takes up as much space as it does on my computer. Oh, no--extra lines of codes!
My wanting more space serves to help both me and my guildies who I save stuff for.

Is there some way to keep storage space locally on our hard drives and have it encoded in some way to prevent the haxors getting at it?
OK, probably a silly idea. Nevermind.

I am of the mind that there is woefully inadequate storage space, I've run out of character slots now, and one of them is solely used to store items.
Please add storage in the GH, which is only accessible by officers. Would make alot of sense!
